Summary
Gradient Mortgage Capital is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Account Executive to develop and manage client relationships while driving new business growth. This role is responsible for building a strong personal book of business, promoting the company’s mortgage products and services, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong prospecting skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, grow, and manage a personal book of business by identifying, prospecting, and onboarding new clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, responsiveness, and high-quality service.
- Promote and sell the company’s mortgage programs and services within an assigned territory.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve individual production goals and drive revenue growth.
- Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and progression of opportunities.
- Accurately track and report all sales activity, pipeline updates, and client interactions in the company’s CRM system.
- Collaborate with the Vice President, Regional Sales Manager, and internal teams to align efforts and meet production objectives.
- Qualify inbound leads and prospects through phone, email, and virtual communication channels.
- Conduct outbound prospecting, including cold calling and relationship-based outreach, to generate new opportunities.
- Present company products, programs, and value propositions during virtual and in-person client meetings.
- Organize and participate in regular client meetings to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows as needed to expand the company’s professional network.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and one-on-one meetings with management.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills with a proven ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong time-management and follow-up abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales productivity tools.
- Knowledge of mortgage products, lending processes, and industry terminology preferred.
- Professional demeanor with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills with experience building and scaling sales teams.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in mortgage sales, financial services sales, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, pipeline management, and achieving sales targets.
- Demonstrated success recruiting, managing, and developing sales professionals.
